Talkhis al-miftah." | Binding: Pasteboards covered in brown leather ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in light orange laid paper ; upper and lower covers bear blind-stamped mandorla (red leather onlays) filled with vegetal decoration ; sewn in grey thread, four stations ; headband intact, tailband missing ; in fair condition with some abrasion and staining, foreedge flap detaching at lower cover, cover detaching at spine, etc. | Support: mainly non-European (Persian) laid paper with 9 laid lines per cm. (vertical) and sporadic chain lines, crisp and very well sized and burnished ; a second type (likely European laid) shows 15 laid lines per cm.
