Notlar The letter is an acknowledgement of Kemball’s previous despatch relative to the unrest in Bahrain, and the claim on Bahrain by Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdullah. Anderson writes that Kemball is authorised to communicate to the Wahabee [Wahhābī] chief Ameer Fysul [Fayṣal ibn Turki] that the British Government will not tolerate his interference in Bahrain affairs. Anderson further adds that non-compliance by the Wahhābī ruler, or by others, may be met by force if necessary, and that Shaikh Muḥammad bin ‘Abdullāh must relinquish his claims upon Bahrain, and remove himself from Demaum [Dammām]. Finally, Anderson requests Kemball’s opinion on how Shaikh Muḥammad bin ‘Abdullāh can be maintained in future, and in what place this maintenance can take place. | 4 folios | more | less
