Notlar	In this letter Ephraim Gerrish Stannus, Resident in the Persian Gulf, Bushire, refers to a previous communication from Captain Henry Hardy, which instructed officers in command of Company cruisers to conduct searches for slaves on board vessels bound from India to the Gulf.
