Notlar	Stannus reports a conversation he had had at Muscat with the Imam of Muscat [Said bin Sultan al-Said] in which the Imam had stated that he had been grossly insulted by the Sheikh of Bushere [Bushire], Abdool Russool Khan [‘Abd al-Rasūl] and intended to seize the island of Kharack [Kharg] in retaliation and even attempt to get possession of Bushere itself. However, he would warn the British in advance of any undertaking by him that might affect British trade or establishments.
