Tarih 6th-7th century
Notlar Part of an early (likely Byzantine-era) Torah scroll or scroll of Genesis, containing Genesis 13:10; 14:9-22; 15:5-21; 16:5-17:2; 17:9-20. It is estimated that if the text were only of Genesis, the complete scroll would have been 8-9 metres in length, and that if it was from a scroll of the entire Torah, it would have been approximately 40 metres in length. The only major textual difference from the MT is found at Genesis 17:1, where the scroll reads שנה (‘year’) instead of MT’s שנים (‘years’). The parašiyyot also differ slightly from the MT and more closely resemble practice at Qumran. Palaeographers differ over the dating of the scroll - between the 5th century and the 8th century. | Condition: Torn, holes | Layout: 37 lines in 5 columns | more | less
