Notlar	The letter reports news - via Latouche - that Great Britain has signed a preliminary of peace with Holland and definitive peace treaties with France, Spain and America [the Treaty of Paris, 1783]. The arrival of Shaikh Rashed's forces to Bushire is noted and it is observed that Shaikh Abdulla's are yet to arrive. It is speculated that Shaikh Nasser no longer intends to attack the Arabs. It is reported that everything remains quiet in other parts of Persia.The letter states that monthly accounts for July to November 1783 are enclosed (they are not contained in the file) and notes that the Resident, Edward Galley, is owed money by the company since he has borrowed money to cover the running costs of the Residency. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
