Notlar	Letter regarding an examination of classes at native schools in Beawur, to assess the progress being made in education, by Lewis Pelly at the request of Reverend Mr Shoolbred.The letter provides details of the schools, including the numbers of scholars attending them, as well as information on schools in surrounding districts. The letter also gives information on schools under the patronage of His Highness the Maharajah of Jeypore and on the nature of the education being given to the pupils in attendance.The letter also raises Mr Shoolbred's concerns that there is no manual of practical agriculture available in native languages and highlights the value of an elementory work in this area as well as the possibility of offering prizes for competent individuals who could compose such a work. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
