The papers are as follows:enquiry from the Chief Political Officer, Basrah [Basra] about the average annual import of tin into Bahrain for the years 1914-1916, with reply from the Political Agent, Bahrain, November 1916;letter from the Director of Customs, Bahrain to the Political Agent Bahrain, with statement and explanatory notes, concerning articles imported into Bahrain Harbour during 1912-1916, November 1916;papers relating to the export by merchants in Bahrain and elsewhere of large amounts of gold to Persia via Bushire, March - October 1917. British officials suspected that the gold was intended for the Turks in Mesopotamia.
