Notlar This letter acknowledges the receipt of Samuel Manesty's letters, dated 18 and 19 November and 4 December 1802 respectively. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, reports that on 11 December 1802, the BombayFrigate and the RavensbourneBrig arrived at Bushire. The latter ship brought the corpse of the late Persian Embassador [Ambassador] [Haji Khalil Khan] and a number of his suits, under charge of Lieutenant Charles Pasley. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun informs Manesty of how the Alertwas dispatched, carrying intelligence received from the interior of the country, with instructions either to overtake the Recoveryor to proceed to Muscat. The letter concludes with the news that Jonathan Henry Lovit [Lovett] has been appointed Resident of Bushire and is expected daily. Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun states that he will proceed to Bombay once he has delivered over charge of the Company's effects to Lovit. | 1 folio | more | less
