Notlar	The letter is informing the Resident that the Governor of Bombay approves of his conduct respecting the issuing of instructions to the officer commanding in the Gulf, and of not enforcing the annual renewal of boat registers and port clearance; the General Maritime Treaty 1820 specified that Arab vessels party to the treaty should renew and carry a register (conveying information on said vessel), along with port clearance papers.It further notes that the Bombay Government is relying on the Resident to maintain stability in the Persian Gulf, and prevent the re-emergence of piracy in the region. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
