Notlar Samuel Manesty, Resident at Bussora [Basra], acknowledges the receipt of a letter from Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident at Bushire, dated 21 September 1802, and regrets that the Native Resident did not send the Ternateto Bussora with the packets intended for Manesty and the Resident at Bagdad [Baghdad]. Manesty informs Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun that the Pantherwill touch at Bushire for the purpose of receiving advices for the President in Council. Manesty recommends that Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun retain the Ternateat Bushire until replies from the latter's communications to the Court of Persia convince him that the accident which claimed the life of the Persian Embassador [Ambassador] will not expose the Honourable Company's servants, property and credit at Bushire to risk and danger. Manesty also suggests that Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun explain the Embassador's death to the deceased's agents and relation[s]. | 2 folios | more | less
