The volume includes a letter from the Political Agent to the Shaikh, in English and Arabic, to congratulate him on the discovery of oil in Qatar dated 14 January 1940 (folio 243).The volume also contains maps and sketches:'Rough Tracing Showing Approach to P.D. (Q.) Jetty at Dohat Ez Zekrit (Qatar)' - in context of Qatar oil concession' (2 copies, on ff. 129, 130);sketch map representing the P.C.L.
