Notlar	This letter refers to a letter of remonstrance which was addressed by Captain Henry Hardy, then in charge of the Residency, to Zeckee Khan, Minister to the Prince of Shirauz [Shiraz], regarding plans of an expedition against Bahrein [Bahrain]. Ephraim Gerrish Stannus, Resident in the Persian Gulf, Bushire, encloses a translation of a letter addressed by him to the Prince of Shirauz [Ḥusayn ‘Alī Mīrzā], together with a translation of His Royal Highness's reply.
