Notlar	The letter is informing Captain Sealy that Ephraim Stannus has arrived at Bushire, and assumed charge of the duties of the Resident in the Persian Gulf.It further mentions that the Resident has requested the use of the HC Cruizer Aurorato facilitate a tour of the ports of the Arabian coast, and requests that Captain Sealy accompanies the Resident on said tour. It also informs the Captain of a packet from Major George Willock that is being forwarded on to Bombay.The letter is likely to have been dated in correctly; it should perhaps read 21 December 1823, as indicated by the dates of the surrounding correspondence and the content of the letter. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
