Notlar	Four fragments of a letter by a South Italian traveller who having embarked on a large merchant ship had the misfortune to be shipwrecked. He writes probably from Egypt, but intends to settle in Tyre. Ca. mid-11th century. The writer refers to a visit he made to Amalfi, before embarking in Palermo (referred to as ‘Sicily’).
