Notlar In this letter James Dow, Assistant Surgeon, temporarily in charge of the Residency, transmits a copy of a letter (not included) from Andrew Jukes, Political Agent in Persia, concerning a number of lascars that he left in Dow's charge. Dow reports that he has been instructed by Jukes to provide the lascars with a passage to Bombay. He states that he has arranged for the lascars to be taken to Bombay on board the Honourable Company cruiser, the Ternate. In addition, Dow informs Francis Warden that the lascars have received pay for the month of October which amounts to 94 rupees. | 1 folio | more | less
