Notlar	The letter is enclosing a petition (not present) for assistance from Mahomed Ali Khan [Muḥammad ‘Alī Khān], son of the late Jaffer Ali Khan [Ja‘afar ‘Alī Khān], for losses incurred as a result of the recent earthquake at Shiraz (see f 2). It confirms that the details of this petition are correct, and explains that the Resident has also made out a loan of 2000 rupees to the said petitioner on the condition that he repays it out of his pension allowance. It also explains that the Resident believes that Mahomed Ali Khan is entirely dependant on the pension awarded by the British to his late father. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
