Notlar	The letter relates to the slave trade on the Arab coast of the Persian Gulf, and contains a translated copy of a letter received from the Native Agent at Sharjah, Moollah Houssein [Mullā Husayn], dated 29 May 1850, reporting a marked increase in the slave trade to the Persian Gulf from Zanzibar and Berberah [Berbera]. The Sharjah Agent's letter discusses the movements and actions of the region's inhabitants, with particular reference to vessels from Rusel Khymah [Ra's al-Khaymah] that touch down at Sohar [Ṣuḥār] and along the Batinah [Al-Bāṭinah] coast with slaves brought from the African coast. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
