Notlar	The letter is informing the Resident that the Persian Government has appointed Mirza Mahmood Khan — son-in-law of the Minister of Foreign Affairs — to oversee the detention of Persian slaving vessels from a British cruizer; the British have been authorised to detain Persian ships suspected of carrying slaves, and to remove any slaves found aboard.
