The following enclosures are included:1. Letter no.21 of 1825 (folios 36-38) from Major Robert Taylor, Political Agent at Basra, to William Newnham, Chief Secretary, Government of Bombay, dated 24 May 1825;2. Letter no.22 of 1825 (folios 38-40) from Major Robert Taylor, Political Agent at Basra, to William Newnham, Chief Secretary, Government of Bombay, dated 5 June 1825;3. Letter no.272 of 1825 (folios 40-41) from Major Robert Taylor, Political Agent at Basra, to William Newnham, Chief Secretary, Government of Bombay, dated 20 June 1825.Each of the enclosures follows the same format, with lists of events at Basra arranged by date, covering the period 17 April to 8 June 1825. The news includes arrivals and departures of caravans and individuals, who themselves bring news, for example from Aleppo.
