Notlar	The letter is a covering letter relating to the shipwreck and plunder of the vessel Futhel Kheir(or Futhel-el-Khair) off the Muscat coast in 1855. The letter encloses a copy of letter no.108 of 1856 from William Crawford, Senior Magistrate of Police [Bombay], to Anderson, dated 11 March 1856. Crawford’s letter includes further depositions (folios 139-40 and folios 141-42) from two inhabitants of Bombay who were on the shipwrecked vessel, which Crawford notes are not consistent with each other. The first deposition is from a pilgrim traveller, the second from the vessel’s navigator. \| 6 folios \| more \| less
