Notlar Recto: a large, damaged and effaced legal document written by Solomon b. Elijah. Sitt al-Nabaʾ bat Abū Ishaq al-Amšāṭī leased two of her properties for a period of seven years against a rent of 52 1/2 dinars. The tenant was not to pay rent but to put the two properties into good repair. Three and a half years latter, Sitt al-Nabaʾ declares in court that the tenant may keep the properties for another four years, may gather the fruits of the orchard for himself and sow what he liked, and if she were to sell one of the properties or both, she would restore to him the balance remaining from the rent already paid by him plus his expenses. Verso: Abū l-Karam buys from Abū l-Ḥasan one quarter of a flour mill in the Mamṣūṣa quarter for his unmarried daughter, Sitt al-Ḵafar.
