He goes on to confirm the death of the Wahabee [Wahhabi] Chief, Toorkee bin Saood [Turkī bin ‘Abdullāh Āl Sa‘ūd], and discusses the issue of his successor. Blane then makes a case for a ship of war off Bushire for the protection of British interests at that end of the Gulf.
