Notlar	Letter reporting on his safe arrival at Aden on 2 December 1872, Sir Bartle Frere's arrival there on 31 December 1872 and the arrangements thus far for the mission, including their intention to proceed towards Zanzibar on 4 January 1873.The letter also reports that Lieutenant Edward Mockler has been requested to proceed to Gwadur and officiate for Captain Samuel Barrett Miles.A copy of Pelly's letter to Brigadier General John William Schneider is referred to as enclosed but is no longer with the letter.
