Notlar	MacLeod acknowledges receipt of Faithfull's letter dated 24 March 1823. He comments on Faithfull's actions with regards to the conflict between Sooltan bin Suggur [Sulṭān bin Ṣaqr Āl Qāsimī] and the Shaikhs of Ummul Guwyn [Umm al-Qaywayn, i.e. ‘Abdullāh bin Rāshid Āl Mu‘allā] and Ejmaun [Ajman, i.e. Rāshid bin Ḥumayd Āl Nu‘aymī]. He instructs Faithfull that no further communications should be made with the chiefs with regards to the construction of forts until guidance has been received from Government. MacLeod expects to receive a response from the Government in June and requests that Faithfull proceeds to Bushere [Bushire] around that time. \| 1 folios \| more \| less
