Notlar	The file concerns the registration of documents by the Political Agency, Bahrain, which formed part of the Agency's notarial duties.The papers consist of correspondence between those applying to register documents and the Political Agency, Bahrain. Much of the correspondence is with the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO). The documents submitted for registration are principally certificates for oil company shipments, but also include title deeds, powers of attorney, passport applications, certificates of residency, and certification of change of name.There is also some correspondence about the need to be able to recognise the Political Agent's signature in the course of his notarial duties (e.g. folios 9-11). \| 1 file (247 folios) \| The papers are arranged in chronological order from the front to the rear of the file, except where enclosures of an earlier date are filed after their relevant covering letter, and terminate in a set of notes (folios 239-247). \| Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1 and terminates at the inside back cover with 249; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio. An additional foliation sequence is present in parallel throughout except for the two leading flyleaves; these numbers are also written in pencil, but are not circled. \| more \| less
