Notlar	This file contains correspondence between British officials related to two topics:1) an increase in the number of Persians migrating across the Gulf to the Trucial Coast, Sharjah in particular. This correspondence includes discussions regarding British concerns about the political consequecnes of this development (ff 2, 18-26).2) a desire to replace a Persian employed at the Lighthouse Department on Tamb [Tunb] island with an Arab from Sharjah or Ras Al Khaimah and the subsequent appointment of a man named Hassan bin Ibrahim, also referred to as Hassan bin Abdullah (ff 5-17). \| 1 file (29 folios) \| The papers are arranged in approximate chronological order from the front to the rear of the file. \| Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1, and terminates at the inside back cover with 29; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
