The aforementioned merchants believe William Bruce had ordered the Captain of the vessel not to land at Bushire, leading to a dispute; Mr Bruce denies that the vessel had any cargo intended for Bushire.Also discussed in the letter is a Persian expedition to the Chaub being mounted from Sheraz [Shiraz], measures William Bruce has taken to secure his communication links to Bussora [Basra] in view of Persian suspicions of British motives, and a bill he has approved for Jaffer Ali Khan [Ja‘afar ‘Alī Khān]. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
