Notlar Letter regarding Aitchison's attempts to contact Pelly in London to invite him to dine with them and the subsequent discovery that Pelly had gone to India with Lord Lytton, and speculating that given the mystery surrounding his movements he is either going to handle Khelat [Kelat] affairs or be an envoy at the Court of Cabool [Kabul].The letter also discusses the Fugitive Slave Commission, which Aitchison feels Pelly would have been the most qualified person to speak at, but which Aitchison had been called before, as Pelly is not longer available. | 2 folios | more | less
