Notlar	The papers consist of correspondence between the Secretary to the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf (Captain Arnold Crawshaw Galloway) and the Political Agent, Bahrain (Hugh Weightman) concerning the transfer of financial control over the Residency Agent, Sharjah from the Political Residency to the Political Agency, Bahrain. The move was designed to enable the Political Agent to inspect the Residency Agent's allowances and office expenditure, and speed up payment of the Residency Agent's salary. The papers also include supporting financial statements; last pay certificates of the Residency Agent, Sharjah (Sayyaid Abdur Razzaq [(Khan Sahib Saiyid ‘Abd al-Razzaq]) and other members of the Residency Agency staff at Sharjah; and some correspondence between the Political Agency, Bahrain and the Residency Agent, Sharjah. \| 1 file (15 folios) \| The correspondence is arranged in chronological order from the front to the rear of the file, and terminates in a set of notes on folio 16. \| Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1 and terminates at the inside back cover with 17; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
