Notlar	Part of a letter, c. early 1020s CE, from Joseph b. Elijah, to Ephraim ‘the Adept from the Great Court’ b. Šemarya. The writer describes his journey along the Nile from Fusṭāṭ to Ṣahrajt, Egypt, and his meeting with the Roš ha-Seder, who had experienced a tricky voyage there.
