Notlar	Letter explaining the circumstances of a letter written by Pelly, dated 30 May 1860 which related to a Memorial Pelly had submitted to the Secretary of State in March 1859 following a commendation from Sir James Outram for Pelly's work in the Persian Expeditionary Force which was delayed owing to Pelly's name already having been placed before a higher authority for another honorary distinction and which following further correspondence was recorded as having been returned to Pelly, but which he had as yet not received.The letter continues by requesting authorised copies of documents relating to Pelly's commendation and requesting advice on how he should proceed with his claim. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
