Notlar The letter is informing the Resident at Bushire that Mirza Sohraub Beg [Mīrzā Suhrāb Beg] is on route to Bombay on board the HC Cruizer Aurora; at Bombay he will obtain passage to return to Bushire. Enclosed are two letters to be relayed by the Resident:1. Letter from Francis Edward Rawdon-Hastings, Governor General of India to the King of Persia, Fatḥ ‘Alī Shāh Qājār, dated 6 September 1814. It informs the King that any transfer of military stores from the East India Company to the Government of Persia must be arranged through the British Ambassador at Tehran.2. Letter from Francis Edward Rawdon-Hastings, Governor General of India to Haujee Mohummud Hossyne Khan, Nizam oo Dowlah [Hajjī Muḥammad Ḥusayn Khān, Niẓām al-Dawlah], dated 6 September 1814. It concerns the application for military stores from the East India Company; an application that the Government has not been able to respond to since it was not channeled through the British Ambassador to the Persian Court. | 3 folios | more | less
