Notlar	The letter is a covering letter, enclosing a letter received by Malet from Major Atkins Hamerton, Her Majesty's Consul and the Honourable Company's Agent in the dominions of His Highness the Imam of Muscat, dated 10 June 1853. In his letter Hamerton describes the instructions he gave to Hiskael bin Jusoph [Khojeh Hiskael], the Native Agent at Muscat, prior to his departure to Zanzibar.
