Paper, etc. may suggest late 17th or 18th century. \| Accompanying materials: a. Two inserts carrying glosses (paginated pp.7-8, 155-156) -- b. Slip with Qurʼānic excerpts, etc. (between pp.100-101). \| Former shelfmark: Mich. Isl. Ms. temp. no. 176 \| Binding: Pasteboards faced in block-printed paper (in bands of overlapping red and blue triangles alternating with bands of yellow) with red leather over spine and edges / turn-ins (decorative paper faced, leather edged, framed binding) ; Type III binding (without flap), possibly two-piece binding (seam partly visible at spine) ; lower board lining in untinted wove paper ; sewn in cream thread, two stations ; overall in somewhat poor condition with upper cover entirely lost, staining, abrasion, etc. ; housed in box for protection. \| Support: non-European laid paper with roughly 6 laid lines per cm.
