Notlar	Letter regarding Aitchison's view that the Government of India made cardinal mistakes in their handling of Baroda affairs and outlining his belief in the need for an Imperial feudatory policy.The letter goes on to report on the riots that occurred in the city after Pelly had departed, the delays in appointing a successor to the Gaekwar (Malharrao) and the evidence in support of the legitimacy of the family from whom the successor will most likely be chosen.The remainder of the letter discusses Aitchison's leave, which will now not be granted until Pelly returns as Pelly's replacement in Rajputana [Rājasthān], Alfred Lyall is likely to be Aitchison's replacement too. \| 3 folios \| more \| less
