Notlar The file comprises correspondence between the Political Agent at Bahrain (Tom Hickinbotham), Political Resident in the Persian Gulf (Charles Geoffrey Prior), Senior Naval Officer in the Persian Gulf (SNOPG) (Cosmo Moray Graham), the Chief Local Representative of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) (Roger Anthony Kennedy) and the General Manager of the California Arabian Standard Oil Company (CASOC) (Floyd William Ohliger) regarding wireless transmissions between Riyadh and Germany which had been intercepted by the CASOC station at Dhahran [Aẓ-Ẓahrān]. The correspondence includes attempts by the British authorities to ascertain where the transmissions were originating and the possible content of them.A series of file notes which were maintained as a record of the correspondence in the volume can be found at folios 38-39. | 1 file (38 folios) | The papers are arranged in approximate chronological order from the front to the rear of the file. Circled serial numbers (red for received correspondence; blue/black for issued correspondence) refer to entries in the notes at the rear of the file. | Foliation: the main foliation sequence (used for referencing) commences at the front cover with 1, and terminates at the inside back cover with 40; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and are located in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio.
