Notlar Hennell reports on his arrival at Sharjah, and his meeting with Sheikh Sultan ben Suggar [Sultan bin Saqr] of Sharjah and the British Acting Agent Hajee Yacoob. The letter discusses recent acts of piracy, and monies recovered and compensation handed out by the British Government. Sheikh Sultan describes to Hennell the recent state of relations and intrigues between the rulers of the Trucial Coast and Muscat. Hennell also describes his meeting with the Sheikh of Amulgavine [Umm al-Qaywayn].
