Notlar	The letter discusse the employmeny of the Tartar, which is detained at Bushire. The author asks why it was not sent to Khish [Kish Island] to try and recover the goods stolen from the Islamabad. Also reports that Carem Caun's forces are still in the Basra area with the intention of attacking the Chaub [Banu Ka‘b] with the assistance of the Ottoman troops. Turkish reinforcements have recently arrived from Bagdat [Baghdad].The letter is dated 16 May 1766, but given the context and the information contained within it is almost certainly a mistake and should read 16 May 1765. \| 1 folio \| more \| less
