Notlar The letter concerns an incident of the shipwreck and plunder of a buglah [boat] off the coast of Fujeerah [Fujairah]. Kemball reports that he has obtained no corroboration of the rumours that the surviving Indian passengers were abducted, stating that he has been assured by Sheikh Sultan ben Suggar [Sultan bin Saqr] that he would act against the perpetrators if necessary. Kemball adds that the British Agent at Muscat, Khojeh Hiskael, has reported that the Indian passengers did reach Muscat, in order to make their way back to India. | 1 folio | more | less
