Notlar	Part of a letter, c. 1029 CE, written by Abraham, on behalf of his father, the Gaʾon Solomon b. Judah, in Jerusalem, to Sahlān Roš ha-Seder b. Abraham he-Ḥaver, in Fusṭāṭ, describing the financial problems faced by that community, high taxes and a drop in income from pilgrims due to the rebellion, and seeking the help of the recipient. The letter is brought by Joseph the cantor b. Yefet ha-Melammed, who has been sent to Fusṭāṭ on behalf of the Jerusalem community to raise funds.
