Notlar The letter is forwarding an extract of a letter received by the company's agent at Sherauz [Shiraz], as the Resident has heard a rumour that Zekee Khan (also spelt Zakee Khan) has been put to death by the order of Fatḥ ‘Alī Shāh Qājār, the King of Persia.The item has one enclosure; an extract of a letter received from Merza Ally Acbaur, Native Agent at Sherauz, dated 20 March 1825. The enclosure notes that Ḥusayn ‘Alī Mirzā, Prince at Sherauz, has demanded 30,000 tomans from the merchants of Bushire to enable him to buy gifts for the King of Persia. It also outlines that the Prince has been conspiring with Zakee Khan to seize Shaikh Abdool Russool Khan [‘Abd al-Rasūl Khān].It further explains that the Prince and Zekee Khan have been ordered to Isfahan [Eşfahān], as a result of a complaint made against the latter by Shookeroola Khan.
