Notlar	Letter informing Pelly that he is unwell and has gone blind and asking him to look at an enclosed letter from Widdicombe.The letter from Widdicombe is no longer enclosed, however there is an enclosed letter, with duplicate copy, from Jacob to the editor of TheTimes, 19 August 1858, written in response to a statement made by the paper on 8 July 1858 that 'Colonel Jacob' was unable to speak any native languages, and enquiring whether he was the person they were referring to, and if so correcting them on that statement. \| 6 folios \| more \| less
