Notlar Second copy of a report by Pelly on his travels to Lingah [Bandar-e-Lengeh], Bassidore, the Island of Kishm [Qeshm], Khumeer [Khamīr], Bunder Abbass [Bandar Abbas] and Island of Hormuz documenting the places, their geographical locations, the local trades and the political allegiences of the villages and towns.These travels had been proposed in letter No. 147 of 1863.The report gives detailed descriptions of Pelly's visits to the salt mines and naptha springs on the Island of Kishm and the Sulphur and Red Ochre mines on the Island of Hormuz. It also goes in to significant details of the trade at Bunder Abbas and the difficulties being faced by those importing goods from neighbouring areas, particularly in terms of customs duties being imposed by various governors.Alongside the report there are maps of the gulf area that Pelly visited and statements of the annual export and import trades of the various places that Pelly visited.Another copy of this report can be found within the file at folios 18-27. | 10 folios | Item foliated in the top right corner of each page 18-28.The letter has original printed foliation on both sides of each page, numbering 1-15 | more | less
