Notlar In this letter, received 9 February 1802, Samuel Manesty, Resident at Bussora [Basra], reports that the Governor Duncanhas departed for Bushire. In addition, he acknowledges the receipt of twenty-three bales of broad cloth and 146 bales of perpetuanoes [perpetuanas], which were formerly consigned to Bushire. Manesty informs Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident, Bushire, that the wollens [woollens] that were sold by Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun to Aga Mahomed Nebie and consigned by the latter to Bussora [Basra] have been treated as the property of the Honourable Company, in accordance with an agreement between the two men, in the settlement of import customs which have been levied on the goods at Bussora by the Turkish Government. | 1 folio | more | less
