Notlar	Covering letter with enclosure (a report from Commodore Porter, Commanding Officer of the Indian Naval Squadron) reporting on the squadron's activities on the coast of Qatar. Hennell reports that the squadron's visit to El Adeed [al 'Udayd], and the exploration of its backwaters, had an 'excellent effect' upon the inhabitants of the region.
