Notlar Correspondence discusses the visit of Sultan Taimur bin Faisal [Taymūr bin Fayṣal] to Europe where he intended to visit England and France. The visit was primarily for medical reasons for the treatment of chronic appendicitis, detailed in medical reports contained in the file. He desired to be accompanied by his Wazir, Bertram Thomas, and letters discuss that it was not advisable for both the Sultan and his Wazir to be absent from Muscat at the same time. Correspondence discusses the arrangements for the expenses incurred on the trip. Also included are letters in Arabic from Sultan Taimur bin Faisal to the Political Resident in the Persian Gulf which also discuss the Sultan's desire to abdicate. | 1 volume (95 folios) | The papers are arranged chronologically from the front to the rear of the file. At the front of the file there is an index. | Foliation: The main foliation sequence commences at the title page and terminates at the forth folio from the back of the volume; these numbers are written in pencil, are circled, and can be found in the top right corner of the recto side of each folio. A second foliation sequence is also present between ff 3-91; these numbers are also written in pencil, but are not circled, and can be found in the same position as the main sequence.
