Notlar Contains part of a Judaeo-Arabic composition on the biblical accents (on what is now f. 1), and the beginning of an (apparently) separate Judaeo-Arabic work discussing the rules for the בגד כפת letters when preceded by one of the אויה letters (on what is now f. 2). Biblical verses are full vocalised and cantillated, with extended Tiberian vocalisation: consonantal alef is regularly marked with mappiq; consonantal waw is similarly marked; šewa is marked inside the ḥet. According to Allony (1970: 49-52), the anonymous אויה בגד כפת text comprises the beginning of a larger composition, a separate copy of which survives in another manuscript, now separated into two fragments: Cambridge, T-S K9.14; Bodl. MS. Heb. f. 34, fol 3-8. | Condition: Slightly torn, holes | Layout: 12 lines | more | less
