Notlar	The letter is reporting that Sa‘īd bin Sultān Āl Sa‘īd, the Imam of Muscat, intends to blockade the port of Bussora [Basra]. It is explained that this is the result of failed applications for redress with respect to tribute owed by the Government of Bagdad [Baghdad]. It is further explained that the Resident has reassured the Imam that the British would almost certainly not interfere if he choose to take such a course of action.It notes that the Resident is attempting to mediate between the Pasha of Bagdad, and the Imam of Muscat via Robert Taylor, the Resident at Bussora. \| 2 folios \| more \| less
