Notlar Writing tablets, or pugillaris, belonging a schoolboy named Theophilos, son of Martyrios. The fourth of five wooden writing tablets bound together. The writing tablet grouping is arranged in the following order: 37.473E, 37.1909E, 37.474E, 37.1910E, and 37.1908E. One side of the tablet is a copy of six verses written by a schoolboy, and the opposite side is illegible. Condition: Fair. The remnant blackened wax is heavy in both recesses and is suffering from cracking and lifting. The side with inscriptions has also suffered losses. | more | less
